Tamworth Farmers' Market

Greetings Friends,
We have scheduled a farmer' market meeting for this Tues. evening, the 27th, from 5PM-6:30PM at the Remick Farm Museum. Following our meeting will be the January meeting for the Small and Beginner Farmers of NH. Many of you are members and should have received the mailing regarding that. It's a potluck so feel free to stay and participate. The farmers' market meeting will discuss the state coupon program for farmers' markets, and will ask for your ideas regarding a $500 dollar mini grant to promote our farmers' market. We will also discuss any thoughts or concerns about last season, this coming season, including thoughts on more winter markets for next year.

The Tamworth Farmers' Market is pleased to announce the availability this year of canvas market bags, made of organic cotton and post-consumer materials, and emblazoned with Peggy Johnson's beautiful Farmers' Market artwork. These will be available at the market at a cost of 12 dollars, and all proceeds will be used to support the Farmers' Market.

Our goals with these bags include raising money to support the market, cutting down on the amount of trash we generate, as a market and as a community, and giving everyone who carries one a reason to talk about local sustainable food systems!
